Looking for an unforgettable summer experience for your child?
Join us for the Three Rivers Explorer Camp, a 4-day outdoor adventure that brings nature, recreation, and discovery together in a fun and affordable way — completely free for participating families!
This camp is specially designed for youth entering grades 5 through 8 and features engaging, hands-on activities that connect kids to the natural world. Campers will explore the outdoors, develop new skills, and enjoy exciting adventures with trained Three Rivers Park District staff.

Archery
Fire building
Nature discovery: Explore local plants and animals
Creative art projects
Fun games and group activities
Outdoor field trip to Fish Lake! (Tuesday, June 24)
🛶 Field Trip Highlight – Fish Lake Fun Day
Date: Tuesday, June 24
Location: Fish Lake Regional Park – Sandburg Site
Campers will enjoy Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP), outdoor activities with Explorer staff, and lunch at the beach!
Time at Fish Lake: 9:45 AM – 2:00 PM
In case of poor weather, camp staff will notify families if the day’s program needs to be canceled or moved indoors.
🧺 What to Bring Each Day:
Packed lunch and snack (We’ll also have extra snacks on hand if needed)
Reusable water bottle
Weather-appropriate clothing for outdoor activities
Sunscreen & insect repellent
Swimsuit and towel (for the field trip)

Registration Deadline: June 9, 2025
Participant Limit: 6 minimum, 15 maximum
Participant Fee: $0 – Free to all families!
Health & Behavior Forms: Collected on the first day
Daily Meeting Point: Trinity International Fellowship (exact daily location to be confirmed)
